SO HOW DO I WIN THIS?

there would be 88 items up for grabs in this giveaway and all the items will be put up in the CNY album(as images) on the Blogshop Buzz fan page. To win the individual items, participants can like, share and comment on their favourite item. When they are sharing or commenting, auspicious phrases like Gong Xi Fa Cai or Xin Nian Kuai Le (Chinese and English are accepted) should be included(in the spirit of CNY) to be eligible.

Each prize is unique and any one participant can only win 1 item (which is why there will be 88 different winners in this event). My sweet surprise from Fiesta Team

Remember in one of my old posts late last year, I've posted a short entry on my sudden surprise from The Fiesta Team? Click here if you had missed it!

It was really a shocking and sweet surprise from them and they are really generous enough to send me so many items! Not just one, not two, but 3 jewelries that worth over HKD$1000 for me. So sweet of them!!
And yes, it actually came on the right time, just right before Christmas and New Year then! And guess what? I've been wearing them to various function and events and with that, I've received several compliments on the jewelries!

PS: Why no one compliments me on my make up too.. T.T

I've also decided to share my joy with my friends and readers and yup, I took tons and tons of photos just to show you how pretty the items are, but then.... Blame it on my photography skills, I just can't seems to get the right feel.. And for that moment, I think I better stick back to my modeling instead. LOL! *Whispers* And that explain why it took donkey years for me to update this post. Oops! >.<

Nothing beats having a heartfelt greeting card!! It melts me instantly~ Awww~

I can't believe I got warranty for Jewelries too! Okay, perhaps I really don't know! LOL!!

And the gorgeous jewels inside. Its simply captivating and breath-taking!

All of the jewels are made from 925 silver, which means even for the most sensitive skin like me, who is actually super allergy to metals, can actually wear it without worrying about getting rashes and stuffs. I've had it on for 24/7 and nothing happen to me! :)

A simple design for a normal casual day out. :)

Pardon my lousy photography skills, I know I'm horrible at taking those jewelries shots, but one has to learn before he knows how to fly isn't it? :) It's my first try taking such shots, so don't criticize me too much okay?! Haha!! :)

And actually I wanted to post up those shots that I've took during the festive seasons, but.... someone went to format my memory card!!! And all those memories were gone... I'm so sad!! T.T

A New Year, A New Start!

Hi Everyone! I'm finally back from my busy schedule and finally got the time to blog! Its 2012 and its gonna be a brand new year, a brand new start! 2011 has been a long year for me, in which, I get to know more people, more sponsors and advertisers and many more!

In 2011, I've met countless people, be it good or bad. Some wanted a piece of me, some wanted to screw me up, some wanted to frame me, and some, they just want some sexual intercourse. Yes, I've seen them all, and filtered them away, and now, I only contact with those that are genuine and trust-able friends.

And of course, not to forget, I've met new sponsors and companies, and that, they are nice people. They opened up more opportunities for me and given me more than other companies would. I'm really glad that I've met those people, and will continue to work with them.

I've met new sponsors all around the world, not only in Singapore, but also from Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia etc. They are so friendly and attended to all my needs, and yes, I love them so much! How I wish I could fly there and meet them in person! ^^

And my resolution for Year 2012 is to earn more money, getting my health back and of course, enjoy myself to the fullest! And yes, since the start of 2012, I've been busy working and working, and hence, my blog is so dead. I'll be back soon after this, and will be bringing my blog to a higher level soon!

And before I sign off, here's one of the video I took during the countdown! :)

**PS: I'm turning 21 soon, and its time I really step in to the real adult world. Hopefully, things would go on smoothly without any major hiccups!

50 Reasons NOT to date a Photographer

Yeap, here are the 50 reasons NOT to date a photographer. Enjoy! Credits to the person who posted this. :)

**PS: I agreed with almost all the points mentioned here. I've ever dated a photographer and its somehow, so true. >.<

1. They rather hold their bulky camera, than hold hands with you.
2. On a romantic date, you’ll watch the sun go down and think “Wow this is gorgeous” and they’ll go “mirror lock, tripod, and stop down f/8 at 1/125.”
3. You’ll never be able to enjoy tv, movies, or magazines because they’ll point out all the visual flaws.
4. They like to sit in obscure coffee shop and voyeuristically watch people for great lengths of time.
5. If you’re taking a walk outside and you come across some “interesting light” they will make you sit/stand/pose in public so that they can take a photo.
6. You’ll never get to enjoy freshly cooked meals because they’ll spend 15 minutes taking 20 variations of the same dish with their iPhone.
7. They get angry when your friends go up to them and say “I am interested in photography, can you recommend a good camera for me? Nothing professional I just want to take pretty pictures.”
8. You’ll wait longer for them to finish analyzing art in a museum than you’ll wait at the dmv
9. Same goes with old used bookstores.
10. When you think they’re giving you their undivided attention, they’re really wondering how they could fix you with a little Clone Tool and Patch Tool.
11. Or they are actually using you to not look so creepy as they people watch everything going on around you.
12. They rather drop $1,000+ on new glass than a purse for you.
13. You can’t take a photo with them without taking at least five more.
14. If you ask them if you look fat, they’ll say “don’t worry I can photoshop you later.”
15. They’ll never photoshop something simple for you if the content is not up to their “standards.”
16. That photo they randomly took of you yesterday? Good luck getting them to send it to you.
17. They spend all their time on the computer (and not for porn.)

50 reasons why you 'should' marry a Photographer

Was browsing through the net and I came across this article, so I thought of sharing. I really agreed with most of the points mentioned though. LOL!

1. Since your spouse would always want to take your picture, you would always try to look picture perfect all the time and in the long run that will be beneficial for you only.

2. Your photographer spouse will be taking photographs of you all the time - since you would be the immediately available model - you will be showered with a lot of attention and who doesn't like that?

3. Your spouse can nicely arrange all the wedding photographs and preserve them in an album or digitally on a CD/photo sharing website, without any hassle.

4. You just have to marry a photographer, because at the end of the day, your photographs would come out really good, no? and who doesn't like having nice photos of themselves to look at.

5. A photographer knows how to handle precious and expensive things and that is where you will be at an advantage. At least you will be taken care of and looked after?

6. You will never have to worry about having the perfect pose in a photograph to put up on Facebook as a display picture, it is the spouse's job now to take a perfect photo of you.

7. Your friends on Facebook or Twitter will compliment you on your - one after the other - brilliant uploads of profile pictures and you can thank your spouse for that.

8. Want a photo taken for your passport or for official purposes? Don't worry your spouse can do it.

9. Want an urgent photograph of yourself or just in the mood? Just make a cute face and say to your spouse "Darling, would you be a dear and take a picture please?" they'll end up taking one hundred and you will have plenty of choices to choose from.

10. Have neck pain? Ask your spouse to tell you from which angle your face looks best. He/she will touch it and rotate it so many times, you'll get a free massage and a neck workout. Just don't get dizzy afterwards.

11. Your spouse can take amazing couple photographs of you two, without needing any help from anyone else. That's where the DSLR remote control comes in/or the timer feature of the camera.

12. You will literally be the 'apple of his/her eye' since he/she will photograph your face a million different ways.

13. If there is a family function, your spouse can cover it, that also free of cost.

14. From honeymoon to every vacation, you'll never have to worry about photographing the holiday, because your spouse will excel at that and you will have great photos to put up in albums on your Facebook profile.

15. Photographer yourself? You two would be a match made in heaven.

16. You will never be bored of Facebook. You can always check out your partner's photography fan page and promote it. If they don't have one, you can create one and manage it.

17. Choosing a gift for any of the occasions will never be a problem. Any camera accessory would do.

18. Flattering your spouse will be easy. Just compliment them on their photography in a seductive tone.

19. Want some space or me time? Send your partner on a photo walk or nudge them to pick up a camera and photograph something. They'll be so engrossed and will at least give you a few hours breather.

21. Managing the photos you take from your phone or camera will never be your headache. You spouse will archive those photos for you in their 1 TB Western Digital external HDD and give you copies.

22. Want to pick up photography as an hobby? You know who to go to. Your spouse will be more than happy to show you the ropes! and probably like/love you a bit more as well.

23. You can start sharing your spouse's photography on Twitter and Facebook and gain popularity. Feeling naughty? share it as your own.

24. Angry? Frustrated? You can always start criticizing your partner's photography and let out your anger. You can always change your opinion when you feel better.

25. Posing in front of the camera would boost your charisma and give you confidence. Skills essential in the professional/corporate world.

26. If you like sunsets and want a picture of you at the beach at sunset time? Your space will be more than happy to take one for you. This way you can take a romantic stroll at the beach too.

27. If you are the kind of person that likes to observe and interpret things, you would love watching television with your spouse. It would make for an interesting banter.

28. Your spouse would cover different events, go to different places and you can tag along. Free vacation.

29. You would love having a photographer as a spouse, if you are the kind of person who likes to travel or go out. They can take their photos and you can enjoy at the same time.

30. Your spouse will make you feel like a celebrity and on top of the world, when you are walking outside in the mall or on the street and they suddenly 'feel' like taking photographs of you due to a nice background or something.

31. Since your spouse would probably take photos of the meals that you cook/prepare at home and if you are a female, it will motivate you to garnish and décor your dishes so they look pretty for the photographs and it will give you practice, so you can serve good looking food at parties and get-togethers.
32. If you are good at baking and/or cooking, you can create masterpieces and ask your spouse to do good Food Photography and then upload photographs of your cooking on Facebook and/or Twitter and make everyone jealous.

33. If your spouse is a really well known photographer, people will be jealous and envious of you. Heck, you will probably be rich.

34. Not been exercising lately and put on the kilograms? Don't worry your spouse can photoshop your photographs to make you look thin.

35. Having a bad day and developed a pimple? Got scars? Got acne? Your partner can clone stamp them out of your photographs.

36. Your spouse will probably have sharp observation, so they will always be on the lookout and can caution you about things or pin point interesting things to you, that you might have overlooked when you are outside.

37. They will know what is your best feature and from which angle your face looks good. If you are feeling down, just go to them for a compliment. They analyse things in such depth, they will give such a deep compliment, which will make you blush to the core. I did that once to a person, they started obsessing over their eyes, just because I told them how much lovely they looked in photographs.

38. If you want to send a post card to the family, relatives and friends on Christmas or any other festive season, your spouse can take the family photograph, print it out and send the postcards as well.

39. Your new born baby will absolutely love being a part of such a family. Your spouse will take a gazillion photos and make god knows how many videos of the baby in high resolution and you will have collected many memories.

40. Want to do a one year birthday photo shoot of the baby? Spouse can do it.

41. If you are in to geeks and nerds, photographers are usually of the hot variety. So you will have eye candy around the house a lot.

42. Want to spy on what the neighbour is up to? Just borrow your spouse's DSLR with the telephoto lens.

43. Your spouse will spend a lot of time with cool people and eventually turn you in to an outgoing cool person too, if you aren't already.

44. If you want a camera, you don't have to pay for it. Your spouse will readily buy one for you and be really excited.

45. Photographers are sensitive to touch, they touch with care and who wouldn't like being touched that way right? Tender loving care.

46. Your spouse will eventually change your perception and make you look at the world in a way you never knew you could.

47. If you hate someone, you can show your spouse their profile pictures album on Facebook and they will start criticising each photograph, because of the bad quality or angle with which the picture has been taken. Personal satisfaction to you. That's a win for sure.

48. If you like adventure, you should definitely marry a photographer, because adventure is the middle name for a true photographer. Your spouse will probably climb a mountain for a scene, go in to deep jungles in a Jeep to capture a photograph or do something else which is equally exciting.

49. You no longer have to Google for images. Especially fireworks or fountains. Your spouse will probably have a lot of them in his/her archive, that also high resolution and if they don't, they can always photograph them for you.

50. Photographers are generally very nice and charming people. Your spouse will have a very nice personality.

Some information about WISH Company. WISH Company is actually from Seoul, Korea, which collaborates with business in the field of beauty, fashion and entertainment to create trends! And currently, they operate and manage WISH Trend ( http://www.wishtrend.com), where they introduce to the world the items and contents that is Unique to Korea!

So I've been selected to be involved in this month's blind test, where by they sent samples of the products, without any labels or information and we, bloggers, have to test the products and evaluate accordingly to their criteria, to ensure fair and honest reviews. So here I am today, reviewing the products that they had sent me earlier.

The tiny little bottles of the BB Cream samples for me to test and review on.

Here are some of the criteria/ points that I will be reviewing on:

**Its one of the darker and closest color to my face among the 5 bottles**

**I don't really love the smell of the BB Cream. Somehow, it turns me off and personally I think it smells like some latex? Other than that, concealing and coverage is fine. **

**The coverage level is not what I've expected. But its really lightweight to create those "barely there" look.**

**Its one of my favorite of all. Its not as watery/ as liquid as the rest, but it has one of the best coverage. It gives out a tint smell of tangerine/ citrus.**

Level of satisfaction after make-up: 3♥

** The lightest coverage/ conceal level among the rest of the bottles. Unless I am heading for a really natural look with almost flawless skin, I wouldn't really use this. **

To Summarize:

As what you can see over the next 2 photos, its actually a swatch of all the 5 bottles, with and without flash.

Personally, Bottle D triumphs over the rest of the bottles. Though it might have the lightest color, but its has the best coverage and durability among the rest. It gives out a tint tangerine/ citrus smell and its not as liquid form as the rest.

My Review:

Somehow, I wasn't really that pleased and impressed with their Women's version. Perhaps I'm not used to it yet? I don't know.. But out of all the bottles I've received, this bottle is the only bottle that is minty in color. What I really love in this series is the cooling sensation left on my scalp after shampooing. It makes me felt so much fresher! But the downside is that my hair tangles easier and frequently. :(

I remember someone asking me this question while we're chatting, "If you are given a chance to be Mediacorp artiste,will you accept?" :)

This question somehow really set me thinking on what do I really want in life. It seems like I'm getting nowhere, I'm here and there and somehow, I couldn't decide what I really want or how I should really want my life to be. Oh well. I better start thinking before everything is too late.

Went over to find my hair stylist last Friday with mum and some chit-chatting. Its been, almost half a year since my last visit. I'm thinking of perming my hair soon, its seems so nice.

Anyway, it was mum's birthday that Friday, so we went out for some shopping and relaxing session, leaving the guys to tend the shop. Hahaha! That's so evil of us! But, the birthday girl deserve to rest on her big day isn't it! :) Mummy, if you're ever going to read this, I just want to say, I ♥ you! I can't wait for you to be back on Saturday!

My Views:

I have, on one of my hand, with all the makeup products namely, Mascara, Eyebrow Pencil, Lip Liner and waterproof and smudge-proof Eyeliner respectively.

In Order to try out its effectiveness, I pumped out adequate amount of Hada Labo Cleansing Oil, which is more than enough to fully cleanse the makeup.

Next, I just gently rub in an circular motion. As what you can see over here, both the eyebrow and lip-liner has been removed. Yes, its like no effort needed to remove that! LOL

Okay, I exerted more force to remove my remaining leftover --- Both the waterproof mascara and Eyeliner. As what you can see now, all the makeup has been fully removed, and without a single residue left on the skin!

And actually, you can just finish off the cleansing step with just rinsing off with just tap water. But for my case, I'd always finish my cleansing step with facial foam to double cleanse it to really make sure that no residue is left! Haha!! My Review:

Pardon the difference in the lighting. I got to admit that the lighting and color tone doesn't really matches with the "before" photo. Pictures can't do any justice to how wonderful this mask is actually. It definitely helps brighten and somehow, slightly lighten my skin tone, but its not as exaggerate as the "after" photo obviously! Haha! If you ever noticed, pores did somehow shrinks and face become smoother. I believed that with regular usage, skin will definitely turns out better and firmer!

What's more! Its affordable, reputable and its so packed with goodness in every sealed packet. Okay, it might be slightly pricy for some readers, but think of the good side, its always better to invest on a good product rather than investing tons of your money on some other cheap, yet not really obvious improvements, yeah? :)

Inspiring Story: My Mom

My mom only had one eye. I hated her, she was such an embarrassment. My mom ran a small shop at a flea market.She collected little weeds and such to sell, anything for the money we needed she was such an embarrassment.There was this one day during elementary school. I remember that it was field day, and my mom came. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me? I threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school..."Your mom only has one eye?!" and they taunted me.

I wished that my mom would just disappear from this world so I said to my mom, "Mom, why don't you have the other eye?! You're only going to make me a laughingstock. Why don't you just die?" My mom did not respond. I guess I felt a little bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that I had said what I'd wanted to say all this time.

Maybe it was because my mom hadn't punished me, but I didn't think that I had hurt her feelings very badly.
That night...I woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. My mom was crying there, so quietly, as if she was afraid that she might wake me. I took a look at her, and then turned away. Because of the thing I had said to her earlier, there was something pinching at me in the corner of my heart. Even so, I hated my mother who was crying out of her one eye. So I told myself that I would grow up and become successful, because I hated my one-eyed mom and our desperate poverty.

Then I studied really hard. I left my mother and came to Seoul and studied, and got accepted in the Seoul University with all the confidence I had. Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. Then I had kids, too. Now I'm living happily as a successful man. I like it here because it's a place that doesn't remind me of my mom.

This happiness was getting bigger and bigger, when someone unexpected came to see me "What?! Who's this?!"... It was my mother...Still with her one eye. It felt as if the whole sky was falling apart on me. My little girl ran away, scared of my mom's eye.

And I asked her, "Who are you? I don't know you!!!" as if I tried to make that real. I screamed at her "How dare you come to my house and scare my daughter! Get out here now!" And to this, my mother quietly answered, "oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address," and she disappeared. Thank goodness... she doesn't recognize me. I was quite relieved. I told myself that I wasn't going to care, or think about this for the rest of my life.

Then a wave of relief came upon me... one day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. I lied to my wife saying that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went down to the old shack, that I used to call a house...just out of curiosity there, I found my mother fallen on the cold ground. But I did not shed a single tear. She had a piece of paper in her hand.... it was a letter to me.

My Son,

I think my life has been long enough now. And... I won't visit Seoul anymore... but would it be too much to ask if I wanted you to come visit me once in a while? I miss you so much. And I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I decided not to go to the school.... For you... I'm sorry that I only have one eye, and I was an embarrassment for you.

You see, when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with only one eye... so I gave you mine... I was so proud of my son that was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye. I was never upset at you for anything you did.

The couple times that you were angry with me. I thought to myself, 'it's because he loves me.' I miss the times when you were still young around me.

I miss you so much. I love you. You mean the world to me. My world shattered! Then I cried for the person who lived for me. My Mother.

First and foremost, many readers would be feeling puzzled on my blog post today. Yes, this is the first time I am advertising for a book, yes, you heard me right, a book. Its not just an ordinary book, but a rather inspirational book that will set you thinking for quite a period of time after you finish reading. Trust me, you should not miss this book! :)

Okay, I shouldn't be showing you his real identity, as he prefer not to be recognize in the public. So, please don't scared him alright! LOL! (Don't kill me Mr Low :P)

I would like to express my gratitude to one of my friend, Mr Low Kay Hwa, a full time novelist for sending me his works to read, and trust me, I got hooked on his novel after reading! Yes! Its that influencing! ^.-

Has anyone of my readers not heard of our local full time novelist, Mr Low Kay Hwa Yet? If you have not, kindly allow me to introduce him to you. Just spare me minutes of your time to listen to me alright? ;)

WHO IS HE?

Mr Low Kay Hwa graduated from Singapore Polytechnic in 2007 with a diploma in Building and Property Management. He is currently pursing a Bachelor of Arts in English Language from SIM University on a part time basis. The full time novelist, published his first novel at the age of 18, and has written a total of 9 novels till date!

Kay Hwa wrote and published his first novel, Destiny's Cries, in 2004. Less than ten copies were sold within six months upon publication. Though discouraged, he continued writing and uploaded all the chapters of the second novel he had written, I Believe You, on the internet. People began to take notice of his writing and bought his novels. In 2007, Kay Hwa started Goody Books and incorporated it as a company in 2010.

As of 2011, he has written nine novels and sold over 33,000 copies of his books. He was featured in several local newspapers and in one Malaysian Newspaper. He has over 11,000 fans on his Facebook Fanpage and over 7,000 double opt-in subscribers!

Since becoming a full-time novelist, he has been to many schools to give inspirational talks to students, from assembly talks to library talks! :)

Preparing For That Day

One of the youngest full time novelists in Singapore, Low Kay Hwa has launched his ninth novel titled For That Day in August 2011. It is about two cancer-stricken teenagers, and their different perspectives on their prognoses. Jun Hao (one of the main characters in this story) has leukemia. Yvonne (the other main character) has metastatic brain cancer since she was twelve, and has beaten the odds as hospice service discharged her twice. As they meet, Yvonne inspires Jun Hao with a positive outlook of life while learning more about herself in the process.

Kay Hwa has done extensive research for this novel to ensure that all information is correct. During his field research, he talked to doctors and nurses from National Cancer Centre Singapore in Singapore General Hospital, Viva-University Children's Cancer Centre in National University and HCA Hospice Care. In Addition, he interviewed teachers, students cancer patients and children of cancer patients.

Kay Hwa Said, "The initial idea is about how a change in mindset can change many things or even create miracles. However, as I delved deeper into the subject, I changed the direction of the novel while maintaining the core of the plot. During a meet-the-author session in Broadrick Secondary School, a reader told me how happy she was when her strict mother was not home for days. She was then ten years old. It turned out that her mother had died of cancer, and her father dared not tell her the truth nor bring her to the funeral. Now, she regrets that short burst of happiness."

For That Day has five narrators, with each narrator -as they cross paths to influence each other- portraying their own theme, and conveying an overall theme.

Characters and their Role:

Teo Mei Ling grows up in a low-income family, and seeks to provide the best for her family. Her husband died when she was expecting her second child, Yvonne. As both her children were diagnosed with cancer, she learned more about how to lead a meaningful life.

Tan Jun Hao grows up in affluent environment. He tops his class, is the captain of his school badminton team and set goals for his future. When he was fifteen years old, his childhood leukemia relapsed, and the chance of remission is less than 10%. As he is about to give up on the painful treatment, he meets Yvonne who encourages him to fight for the future instead of waiting for the future. He writes a future diary entry and looks forward to that day. Eventually, with a positive mindset, he achieves remission and goes through a bone marrow transplant.

Vincent Decson is a Harvard graduate. He is socially marginalized due to his delusional thoughts. He spend his whole day telling strangers about the end of the world, and takes a lift in an HDB flat daily for hours due to his obsession for lifts. When Yvonne approaches him, he tells her that he does not mind what others thins of him, as long as he is enjoying himself. This inspires Yvonne.

Lenny Chua, Yvonne's brother, died when he was eleven. Before his demise, he believed that as an elder brother, his younger sister would be influenced by what he did, and not what he instructed. Therefore, he became a role model for Yvonne, showing her that death is not the end, but an event in life.

Yvonne Chua connects the readers with a few short second-person narrations. She is influenced by his brother and Vincent, and she influences her mother and Jun Hao on the outlook of life. She has relapsed neuroblastoma, a common childhood cancer, and the cancer spread to her brain. She is not excited to live beyond one year, but she beat the odds by staying alive for more than three years.

Finally, It marks the end... :)

It has finally marked the end of Chinese's Hungry Ghost festival. I've been busy for the whole month of August, or Lunar 7th month for the Chinese, and finally, I can have some rest! I've found someone who can take over my job duties and I'm more relieved now. :)

Though I've not yet settled the problems for my personal side, but I guess I already do have the answer that I'm seeking for. Its hard for me to make this decision, but its even harder for me to execute it and staying firm by my decision. Well, I can do it, I sure able to!

Anyway, this year has been a rather special year for me. Its the first year that I'm unofficially involved with the festival's dinner, and I've learned quite an amount of things! I came to realize that teamwork and co-operation is a very important factor towards every event, everything. Struggling Butterfly

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If we go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!

Its been a long while

It has been a long while since I last blogged. I'm sorry guys, I was really busy and was dealing with some personal matters. I shouldn't have let my emotions take control of me, but I just can't help it. I can't help feeling sad and depressed, I guess, its all bits and pieces of life.

I was told to make a tough decision one week ago. A decision that might change my life, perhaps not that serious, perhaps a change in my career then? :) To be frank, I couldn't even think properly after I was told to make my choice, let alone, decide.

Mummy, daddy and everyone that was close to me were all worrying about me. I felt so bad, real bad to make them worried. Mummy even took the trouble to spend hours of her time to concern about me, and trying to make me feel happier. Indeed, I did cheer up, with all the supports I've gotten by my friends. Thanks guys.

There's always a saying in Chinese, 家家有本难念的经/ 每个人都有一个不能说的秘密。 Each and everyone of us has this innermost secret which cannot be shared. I just don't know how to start, and I can't even share it out, the feeling is just so miserable. Oh well, that's life.

I've not been getting ample sleep. I've been sleeping merely few hours per day and I've got plenty of pending things to do, but somehow, its impossible for me to keep my mind clear, and get my butts moving. I just cant find any motivation!!!!

But whatever it is, I'm slightly better now. All thanks to a good friend of mine who is there to cheer me up, and trying his best to help me. His effort is finally paid off, he knows the story and gave me some advices. Somehow, I feel much better now. Thank you, my friend. You know who you are! Thanks for spending so much time and effort to cheer me up, and gave up your rest time just to sound me out. You did a great job! Ha!

And to the rest, thanks. I will be alright soon! Give me sometime! Give me some time to decide what I want, give me some time to decide the route that I want to walk. I hope I won't regret by the decision that I've make then. :)

**PS: I'm busy drafting out those real overdue advertorials and reviews. My blog server seems to play with me. I got a hard time to publish the pictures into my blog. The run time seems to take zillion years to process. All will be out soon. And I mean it. :P

I died today. You got tired of me and took me to the shelter. They were overcrowded and I drew an unlucky number. I am in a black plastic bag in a landfill now. Some other puppy will get the barely used leash you left. My collar was dirty and too small, but the lady took it off before she sent me to the Rainbow Bridge .

Would I still be at home if I hadn't chewed your shoe? I didn't know what it was, but it was leather, and it was on the floor. I was just playing. You forgot to get puppy toys.

Would I still be at home if I had been housebroken? Rubbing my nose in what I did only made me ashamed that I had to go at all. There are books and obedience teachers that would have taught you how to teach me to go to the door.

Would I still be at home if I hadn't brought fleas into the house? Without anti-flea medicine, I couldn't get them off of me after you left me in the yard for days.

Would I still be at home if I hadn't barked? I was only saying, "I'm scared, I'm lonely, I'm here, I'm here! I want to be your best friend."

Would I still be at home if I had made you happy? Hitting me didn't make me learn how.

Would I still be at home if you had taken the time to care for me and to teach manners to me? You didn't pay attention to me after the first week or so, but I spent all my time waiting for you to love me.

Actually cutting them into 4 sections is already good enough, but I prefer it thinner, hence, I cut it smaller. LOL

Then paste them on your targeted area, in this case, my abdomen. I didn't do a great job towards the pasting part, but hey, practice makes perfect isn't it! :D

**Ps: Please don't be nasty to me about my belly etc. I know its ugly. :(

So for those that wanted to see the real "professional" method of pasting, its actually like this:

My Review:

Personally, what I really love about this patch is that it can be used anywhere, anytime, any places. Its easy to use and I would personally recommend to use it before you sleep, and take it out the following morning. I'm more to sensitive skin, and I'm rather surprised that the product doesn't irritates my skin at all. The heat, is bearable for me, compared to those XYZ brands found in the market.

But of course, it is unlikely to see visible results in just a short period, or perhaps, after a usage or two. I would really recommend to use this product on a long term basis, to see visible results. For those that would really wishes to get their excess fats off their body in a faster way, I would suggest using SHILLS Miracle-Lift Body Contour Control HOT instead.

Afterall, I love the mild floral scent that it gives, its pleasant to the nose and most probably other people wont possibly notice that you are using any slimming product! ('cause other XYZ brands tends to give out those unpleasant (probably ginger?) smell.) And of cause, the price is rather affordable too! Oh ya! Please please do remember not to leave it on your skin for more than 8 hours!

[Event Coverage] Exclusive Backstage interview with Miss Judy Lin

As I mentioned in my previous entry (If you forgotten) that I've a date with Taiwan renowned celebrity fashion and beauty stylist, Judy Lin. So i was actually very honored to be invited to have an exclusive interview with her!

Yes! Exclusive! Only 5 of us were invited! They are namely, Christy, Irene, Lenneth, Yvonne and me! Yes! I supposed you are familiar with all the bloggers that I've mentioned as they are really well known in this blogging (beauty and lifestyle) industry! Haha!

During the 30 minutes talk, we chatted with her things ranging from skincare, hair, till dressing code! I was so surprised and shocked when Miss Judy Lin invited me to sit beside her, whereby, she demonstrated to us, the better skincare regime/ makeup that is suitable for me! ^^

We must not be lazy. Keeping in good shape isn't done by 2-3 days, but instead, you must have the motivation and spend sometime to look after your skin. Don't be lazy and you though you might not see the difference now, but years down the road, you'll definitely look better than those of the same age as you.

2.I noticed that almost all of the Taiwanese have great complexion and shape! So how actually did you all do it? Mind sharing with us a tip or two, of what is your usual skin care routine?

Judy's reply:

Actually I noticed that Singaporeans have better shape than us! Haha! I guess all of us ladies out there are always trying to look good in every aspect or angle. Perhaps one of the reason is because we are all under influences of Japanese/ Korean fashion, and also, the variety shows in Taiwan. This has made us rather got this mindset that we have to be slim/fit to show certain parts?

So as time goes by, people will start working out, keeping fit, taking of their skin/complexion/shape. I do hope that ladies here in Singapore and also spend more time and effort on their make up and skincare, and with that, I think you'll will look good!

3.Actually, this question might sound a bit weird/bored, but would you mind telling us the correct steps in a daily skin care routine?

Judy's reply:

It all starts with removing makeup as the first step. Followed by cleanser, toner, essence, lotion, moisturizer. And it varies for different case, take it for example, Singapore is always in summer mode, so hence, we always need to do some whitening all the time. All we need to do is to adjust accordingly, accordingly to the environment etc. So actually for people living in Singapore, we only need to stick to those that we needed.

4.What are the ways to prevent acne/ blemishes from attacking us? To be frank, I'm suffering from it and I’ve tried all ways and products, but it doesn't seem to last.

Judy's Reply:

Ah! That's a good question. First of all, you got to find out the root cause of it. Is it due to stress, hereditary, diet or etc? So after you find out the root cause of it, then it time to change/ minimize the cause of it.Also, try not to eat something too heaty or spicy, as it would worsen the condition.

One of the reason that causes breakout might also caused by clogged pores.

For blemish prone skin, I would suggest using something that contains some medicated ingredients, I would personally recommend using whitening series. It does not only soothe the skin, it also helps to lighten our acne scars.

Alternatively, you can also try to purchase those products that is specially formulated for blemish prone skin. :)

5.I believe all of us suffer from large pores, blackheads and whiteheads, so what are the ways to keep them at bay?

Judy's Reply:

Use some pore softener beforehand before using your normal pore clarifying methods. But do always remember to use toner to prevent your pores from enlarging.

And right after this question, I was been asked to remove my make up, and Miss Judy Lin would be applying something to soothe my face (reapplying make up for me) *Blush*

Clearing up all traces of make up on one side of my face first.

I know I looked bad. It was because I didn't sleep a wink the previous night. Oops!

Applying the toner that she recommended us.

So meanwhile, she continued her interview while helping me with my make up. So, I will be separating the photos to a few sections below.

Seriously, I got no idea why it came out in 2 tones. Okay. My face is tanner as compare to my body. -.-'

Then started applying the hydra-foundation. I don't remember what we are saying, but i'm laughing. What is it again? Hmm

Alright! This is the Hydra-Foundation that I'm talking about! I'm so gonna get it! Beauty Bistro.. (Insert puppy eyes)

6.What are few essential items you will recommend to achieve a healthy beautiful you?

Judy's reply:

Firstly, I would recommend Shill's Miracle Lift, Body Contouring control. Next, I would suggest Shill's SPF42 PA++ Sunblock Whitening Hydra-Foundation. Next, I would suggest Shill's Cold Gel Mask.

7.What is good skin to you and what are your secrets to achieving good skin?

Judy's Reply:

To me, Good skin is definitely a no problem skin. The pores has got to be small, no blemishes, easily to adapt to the environment. As for the secrets, I personally think that you got to find the product that is really suitable to you.

8.Do you have any special facial massage techniques that you can impart to us?

Judy's reply:

Yes I do have. Actually I've already show some of the methods on stage...

9.What are some of the hairstyles that suits different face shapes?

Judy's reply:

Actually you can try some curls, create more hairstyles etc to make your face looks smaller. Haha!

10. For those with thin fine hair, hair often looks flat and limp. What kinds of hairstyles will make such hair look naturally thick & voluminous?

Judy's reply:

You can use Shill's Dust It powder to make it look voluminous, alternatively, you can also play alone with your curler. :)

11.How would you recommend eye bags and dark eye circles be treated?

Judy's reply:

First of all, find the root cause of the eye bags/rings. After finding out the root cause, you can start using some creams specially formulated for dark eyerings and eyebags. Oh Ya! Always remember to massage your eyes area to make it better. :)

Final Touch-up and its done. Its so lightweight! I like!

12.For those with double chin, is there any way of minimizing it?

Judy's reply:

You got to exercise more, and also, massage the area around your double chin to stimulate blood circulation.

And the end result. Okay! My face looked so puffy! Real puffy!! And where was I looking at? :( Pardon me, I did not sleep the previous night. :(

13.You are a successful businesswoman and a famous hairstylist. Did you attend any special class or is this self-taught?

Judy's reply:

Yes, I attended styling classes in Japan back then, around 20 years ago? :)

14. Can you share with us about your journey? Have you always wanted to be a fashion stylist? Or did you stumble upon your talent by chance?

Judy's reply:

Actually, I took up various commercials while I was in my high school life, and I was so envy about those stylists that makes me appear older than I am, and creating different styles and making me feel so modern. To be, stylist is like magician, they can create all kinds of different styles. So after that, I started to study about styling. And with the help of those sponsors etc, I began to know more knowledge and etc. :)

15. What are the 3 products you cant live without.

Judy's reply:

Hmm, I would say the volumising powder, the hyra-foundation and also lip gloss. :)

Envious of her! :)

And at the end of the interview, we had our group shoot. See! She's so tall! Making all of us looked so un-proportional. Haha!
